MOTION TO DISPOSE OF ALL DEFENDANT'S MOTIONS
IN WRITING AND SIGNED, DATED BY JUDGE
NOW COMES the defendant, by pro se, and requests that all her motions in the interest of Justice and in case of any appeals, claims and/or lawsuits, be disposed of through writing and she be provided with copies, and in support thereof states as follows:
- That the defendant presently is charged with the offense of harassment by telephone, 720 ILCS 135/1-1.
- That the defendant is representing herself Pro Se in this case, against the advice of the presiding judge and has been instructed by the court on November 18, 1999 that she is to be held at the same standards as licensed, practicing attorneys, including those charged with the duties of prosecuting her.
- That the legal process is as much for the defendant as the complainant and prosecutor, that the defendant claims herself to be a law abiding resident of this county and state and a law abiding citizen of this country and that in this instance, claims to be falsely accused and expects to be treated as innocent unless proven guilty and expects the process to work for her in equal measure as it works for the prosecution.
- That much talk in the courtroom is done in legalese and abbreviated legalese that the defendant must later research in law libraries and through other legal resources.
- That as of the date of the filing of this motion, the defendant has not yet received a bill of particulars nor discovery from the prosecutor, whose name the defendant does not even know.
- That the defendant has filed 12 motions in November and has filed several more new motions in December along with amendments and affidavits to first motions.
- That the defendant on November 18, 1999 was asked to withdraw one motion, was denied one motion, had one motion delayed, four granted, four not yet heard and one waiting due to prosecutor objection.
- Whereas to expedite and assure this process, the defendant has accompanied and will continue to accompany every one of her motions with an order and an "otherwise disposed of" form.
WHEREFORE, the defendant moves this court to provide her with judge-signed and dated dispositions of all of her motions.
