NOW COMES the defendant, by Pro Se, and requests that this court cure formal defects in the original arraignment of the defendant, and in support thereof states as follows:

1. That the defendant presently is charged with the offense of harassment by telephone, 720 ILCS 135/1-1.
2. That at arraignment, the court should inform the defendant of the classification of the offense charged and the possible penalties associated with the offense: People v Johnson, 34 ILL.2d 202, 215 N.E.2d 204 (1966).
3. Whereas the defendant was not told either the classification of the crime nor the possibilities of punishment.

WHEREFORE, the defendant moves this court to explain the classification of the offense and possible penalties associated with it at her next court appearance, January 27, 2000.
